This is lambie...yes, she is ceramic & she comes with a bit of a story. I also want to let you know that normally Pika has very good taste...I'll let you decide about this object of her affection. Often while I am shopping with Pika, I will give her a book or toy to look at while she is in a cart to keep her attention for awhile so she doesn't try to climb out of the cart, pull at things on the shelves, etc. Normally this tactic works great...I have never had a problem when I have asked her to put a toy or book back. Until today. We were shopping "down the hill" and I was looking for a few frames I wanted to spray paint for a project so we went to a thrift store. Like I normally do, I allowed Pika to ask to hold one thing at a time while she sat in the cart. She asked to hold this ceramic lamb and WOULD NOT LET IT GO! Seriously! She would ask to look at a book and when I would tell her we had to set the lamb down she would decide she didn't want the book...she just wanted to hold the lamb. WOULD NOT LET IT GO! When it was time to go, and I gave her my usual "we need to leave ________ at their home" that normally results in her putting whatever back without any fuss...She WOULD NOT LET IT GO! Now I am not one to cave on the whole not letting go thing, but I did cave this time. I was just so amused that she had such an attachment to this ceramic lamb & I thought it could be one of those random-I-wouldn't-normally-have-this Easter decorations that would have a good story from Pika's childhood that would grow with time (you know how you have those family stories that have "grown" a bit over the years?).
Little did I know...the story continues...
We got home late that night & Pika fell asleep in the car and we put her straight into her bed. The next morning, before she even has breakfast, she asks for her "lambie". She ate breakfast with lambie...she had to share her oatmeal with lambie...

Hee, Hee. That's hilarious. You just never know what they will get attached to, do you?
Sounds like it was a good thing you gave in on that one. =)
