This weekend we had a wonderful time getting a break from the cold weather
and enjoy some friends, some favorite food and the sunshine!
We got to see Grandpa & Grandma, Uncle NaNa, I got to visit some of my favorite thrift stores, but the highlight was getting to meet our friends' new daughters
& hang out at the park with our old small group
(which we miss being a part of desperately!)

Pika enjoyed playing with Junia & Eden in the sand after we had been praying for them for months & talked about them often when she looked at their picture on the fridge (while Sarah & Davis were anxiously awaiting to bring them to their home).
The girls are too cute!
I would highly recommend taking a look at Sarah & Davis' blog about their adoption story & adventures as brand new parents of toddlers...but I warn you...you'll laugh & also may need a box of tissues! We are sad we won't be closer so the girls can play often!
...it was fun catching up with the other mommies too!
We didn't take nearly enough pictures, but it was a much needed weekend away & we came back more refreshed...a small part of me missing living in Ventura but confidant that we are in the right place!
