(Alright, I admit...today involved more than just two of my favorite things...)
Hiking & Dogwoods!
imagine trees FILLED with these beautiful flowers (if you have yet to be in the area when the dogwoods are blooming...plan on visiting us next spring!)
complete with walking stick that she found for herself
(I don't have any idea how she even knows about walking sticks)
(I don't have any idea how she even knows about walking sticks)
Not to mention the fact of being reminded of just how well my wonderful husband knows me...we're walking along and I just can't get enough of the blooming dogwoods and so I ask him "what would you say my favorite tree is?" (when I asked, I was deciding between a willow tree or dogwood tree). He doesn't miss a beat "Christmas tree" was his response...he's right...but I think it's a three way tie! (I know, random story, but it reminded me of how thankful I am that we can talk about both serious and simple things!
(then asked to climb them)!
And one more great thing of the day? (I don't think it gets much better than this!)
HER prayer at dinner:
Dear Jesus, Thank you for big trees. Thank you for little trees. Thank you for water. Thank you for waterfalls. Thank you for Mommy & Daddy & Pika. Thank you for tortellini. Thank you for this tortellini (pointing to her veggies). AMEN
